First experimentation of the Faculty of Ignorance

Why explore ignorance, its forms of production, contours, effects and history?

At a time when everything seems increasingly complex, fragmented and unstable, I believe that developing a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the limits of our knowledge, on a personal, institutional and collective level, is essential if we are to approach the entangled issues we face with greater wisdom, sensitivity, precision, humility, precaution and foresight.

I had the pleasure of testing a first facilitation approach with the wonderful team of LLio in Kamouraska. Starting with a few descriptive cards of various forms of ignorance (moral, for-profit, materialist, fearful, polymathic, strategic, structural, etc.), we had a conversation about the dead angles of our professional practices and their potential impact, intentional or not, on their contexts of implementation.

The result was rich in creativity and humility, and the constructive positive feedback convinced me of the value of continuing to develop approaches / tools / initiatives of this kind.

If you're interested in further experimentations along those lines, let me know?
