How to decentralize and amplify community actions towards heritage protection while building the data commons?

The H-MTL platform (now called Memento) is the world's first collaborative mapping tool dedicated to endangered heritage. Created by and for the community, it helps to amplify and make more transparent, legible and democratic the processes behind the protection of our built environment.

Since its launch, the platform has enabled Montrealers to draw the attention of journalists and decision makers to several vulnerable sites, and even block a demolition process in progress.
